Bus Transportation
Bus Transportation for students who live off post and within the bus service area apply for a Bus Pass at the Bus Transportation Office located inside the Mannheim Elementary School. For further information, call 0621-718-809513. All information and passes are issued from this office. Newcomers to Germany are encouraged to visit the DoDDS-Europe Transportation page to learn the important differences between school but transportation in the United States and Europe.
German Public Transportation
At the Transportation Office, information is available on how to seek out the rail pass for trains/strasse. Once a student obtains their application for a train/strasse, the parent will fill out their portion then the student may bring the application to the school secretary in the main office who will complete and give the application the official stamp to receive the reduced rate. This document must then be taken to the Bahnhof to purchase the Student Pass.
Students Driving to School
There is very limited parking at Mannhiem High School, and none of it designated specifically for students. All parking is on a space available basis. If a student has his/her USAREUR Driver's License or a German Driver's License and wishes to drive to school, s/he must obtain and complete a permission form signed by the student and the parent/sponsor. This letter is kept on file in the Main Office.
Students driving to school may not give rides to other students without written permission from the parents of the students involved.
